Business
History
As is so often the case, Pozitiv started
by accident. In 1991 - at the age of 21 - Glenn
Kinsey was busy working as a television presenter. Some
years earlier, he'd taken advantage of the opportunity to
participate in a BBC presenting course and found the experience
hugely beneficial.
As he began to get more and more work,
friends and colleagues were continually asking for advice
on how to get into the business. With no courses available,
he was encouraged to set up a short day's course in a tiny
Thames TV training studio for a group of colleagues wanting
experience but lacking the financial means to hire a facility
and staff on their own.
There was no intention to continue
this into the future, but, after participants began to get
jobs and a glowing article in The Guardian prompted
a flood of enquiries, the course began to take on a life of
its own.
Passionate about getting results where
others had failed, Glenn began to develop specific techniques
for overcoming a variety of his client's presentation problems
- from severe nervousness to dyslexic reading difficulties
- and, as word spread, an increasing number of clients
from the media, business and public life came to him for guidance
and help.
With the help of an assistant, he managed
to run the business in tandem with his work on screen, but,
a couple of years later - with daily live appearances on Children's
ITV - it became apparent that he couldn't continue doing
both.
At this point he turned his focus onto
the business full-time and, mainly through personal recommendations,
referrals and repeat business, Pozitiv began to rapidly expand
into a congruent mixture of related areas.
Eleven years later - with the help
of a dedicated team coupled with a reputation for integrity,
an unconventional approach and quality, results-focussed work
- Pozitiv continues to grow through meeting the challenges
of our diverse range of clients
throughout the world.
