The
Venue
The course is currently held at Granada's Millbank Studios in London's
Westminster - directly opposite The Houses of Parliament.
This
famous multi-million pound media complex provides broadcast facilities
of the highest standard and shares its building with the three main
national news organisations - the BBC, ITN and Sky News - as well as
a multitude of regional and international broadcasters.
The
course is held in the main Studio 1, a digital studio with 3 widescreen-switchable
triax cameras, full production gallery and facilities, make-up room,
Green Room and a Preview Theatre with 50-inch monitor and cinema-style
seating.
This
studio has played host to a variety of programmes including The South
Bank Show, Meridian's Seven Days, Tyne Tees Around The
House, BBC's On The Record
and even ITV's Blind Date.
The Day
Youre thrown right in at the deep end with a day thats almost
100% practical. It runs from 9.00am to 6.00pm and a buffet lunch and
refreshments throughout the day are provided.
Course Numbers
We put a lot of effort into totally focusing on each individual participant,
concentrating on their own specific wants and needs. Therefore, we have
a maximum of only six clients on each course.
Your day is driven by up to nine professional coaching, technical and
production staff meaning that our support team actually outnumbers the
course participants.
Your Showreel Material
Youll benefit from the exceptional technical quality that only
a professional, broadcast facility can provide. In fact, your showreels
recorded material will be directly comparable with the sort of quality
you see on television.
The total amount of your recorded work will vary slightly from person
to person, but expect to take away around 20 to 30 minutes worth of
material on DVD and VHS.
We also run a parallel recording of your work onto broadcast quality
Digital Betacam tape, which is kept for several months. Therefore, if
anything should happen to your precious DVD or VHS once you leave us, we should
be able to arrange another master copy for you.
And, if youd like to take away your material on an additional
format - e.g. Betacam SP, DigiBeta or SX - then just contact the office
and well be happy to arrange it for you.

in Japan, Texas in the USA and Trinidad in the West Indies.
The broadcasters favourite...
Most of the main broadcasters, including
the BBC, continually recommend and send clients to us - and in many
cases, foot the bill. And, weve coached presenters - via this
course - on behalf of over 30 independent production companies as
well as some of the industrys top celebrity, theatrical and
presenter agencies.
The corporate choice...
Over 100 organisations and companies have
sent their staff on this course, from BT to The Royal Navy... LOréal
to The Princes Trust - in many cases, simply to improve their presentation
skills in general, particularly with the growth in AV use, video-conferencing
and corporate videos.
